Alternate Route Teaching Candidates Discuss Web 2.0 & EdTech

Of the many alternate route teaching programs in New Jersey, Rutgers Alternate Route's leading program both challenges candidates to use digital technology for professional learning purposes, and consistently provides resources that teaching candidates can immediately apply to their practice.

Last November, Alternate Route Candidates from each of our sites participated in synchronized group discussion via our professional learning LinkedIn group to explore the use of various technology-based communication tools that help teachers engage learners, families and colleagues. First, candidates watched a presentation on Web 2.0. After this, their skills and experience were put to the test as one of our instructors probed our teaching candidates to answer a series of thought provoking questions on how they can apply Web 2.0 to their teaching practice.

We've highlighted 8 survey responses that reflect the feedback we received from all of those who participated.
