To support a smooth application process, please review the points below.
A complete application consists of the following: (1) Identifying your current Certificate of Eligibility (CE) status (i.e., CE-holder, Limited CE-holder, non-CE). If your CE has been issued, be prepared to upload documentation. (2) Documentation of degree completion – Upload a copy of your transcript(s). (3) Basic Skills Assessment scores (ACT, GRE, Praxis, SAT, Other)
If one of the documents above is unavailable, upload a Word document with an explanation. We will be in touch if we need more information. Kindly label files with your first and last name.
Other segments on the application include the Praxis II scores (if required for your CE). If your CE is to teach a World Language,provide your Oral Proficiency Test score. Uploading documentation of any previously completed alternate route courses. (I.e., a 50-hour Pre-Service Completion Certificate).

After applying, you will receive an email verification of your submitted application. Please allow two business days for the review of your application. Applicants will be notified of a decision via email from altroute@gse.rutgers.edu. Applicants who have been accepted into the program will receive instructions on registering for courses.
