Dr. Blitz has been an educator and researcher for nearly twenty years. Her teaching portfolio includes courses in systematic inquiry, research and statistics including both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, program evaluation, single-subject design, coaching, and learning strategies. She has led independent studies on various topics including personalized learning and closing racial and socioeconomic gaps in educational attainment, and has served on multiple dissertation committees. In addition to her teaching experience, Dr. Blitz is a passionate advocate for increasing use of evidence to drive instruction and help students acquire the skills and competencies needed to be successful in college and beyond. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently the Executive Director of the Center for Effective School Practices as well as a faculty member of the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. She is the mother of four children and is strongly committed to providing an equitable and enriching learning experience for all.
