This intimate professional development conference gave 35 educators representing 25 school districts from New Jersey and Pennsylvania the opportunity to spend the day learning with Authors Eric Sheninger and Trish Rubin, and Dr. Robert Zywicki, Superintendent of Schools.
The keynote speakers, Eric Sheninger and Trish Rubin, spoke about telling your story, building relationships, and empowering learning which is outlined in their book, BrandED. They shared the importance of why schools must define themselves and how it will build community and success. The breakout sessions continued with this theme as Trish Rubin took the participant a bit deeper into the awareness of Brand and the application of Branding and how to become that “Storyteller-in-Chief” to launch the strategic brand plan. In the morning sessions, Dr. Robert Zywicki shared with us case studies of his experience using the BrandED strategies in his school district. Then in the afternoon, he demonstrated how leaders can improve practice, build school climate, performance and resources all through Branding. Define or be Defined.
