Dr. Bivins-Hudson teaches in the 400-hour Alternate Route program at the Hackensack location through the Center for Effective School Practices (CESP). She also teaches 45-Hour Literacy Alternate Route classes online and has taught Pre-Service Alternate Route classes.
Holding a Supervision Certification and licensed as a principal in New Jersey, Dr. Bivins-Hudson is an educational consultant with Pearson and iLearn Schools, a high-performing Charter Management Network. She has previously served as a teacher trainer, vice principal, acting principal, coach of social studies, and supervisor/facilitator/coach of English Language Arts (ELA). She was a classroom teacher of ELA for 27 years.
Dr. Bivins-Hudson holds an Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University. Her M.A. in English Literature is from Middlebury College (Bread Loaf School of English), and her B.A. in General Elementary Education with a minor in Behavioral Science is from New Jersey City University.
