Frax- Math
Our school district noticed that many students struggle with fractions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) on standardized tests. I teach fifth-grade math and was awarded a grant so my students could work on mastering fractions. This site allows students who struggle with this skill to hone their skills through a series of missions (games) that they must complete. Students are only allowed to complete one mission a day and my students are excited to complete the missions and improve their proficiency in fractions. (Alexis P. K-5)

I liked the overall comprehensiveness of the site. Algebra 1 is broken into seven main units. Each unit is then broken into multiple lessons, and each lesson has content explained via examples. Most of them have relevant videos. Then, students have practice problems to work on, which I have found to be of high quality. I like the summary provided at the end of each lesson. IXL is an excellent resource if you are looking for online support with topics you've covered. I've also used it to review basic skills and material from earlier in the year. Students enjoy the break from written work. It links directly to Google Classroom so you can post assignments. You can also create assessments within IXL that students can use—these are self-grading.
