Rutgers Alternate Route Teacher Program Launches Podcast Series
Give or Take Ten Minutes: Tips for Teachers is a podcast series from the Rutgers Alternate Route Teacher Program devoted to issues related to improving student learning by improving teacher practice. It is designed to help new and veteran teachers increase awareness of effective practices, learn about implementation strategies, and identify resources to support their professional learning. The podcasts are designed as conversational interviews between seasoned educators and offer quick tips for teachers on a variety of topics.
The moderator for Give or Take Ten Minutes: Tips for Teachers is Dr. Phyllis Bivins-Hudson, a 30 Year education veteran who has served in various teaching and leadership positions in New Jersey. Now retired from public education, Dr. Hudson has launched a second career helping others achieve their classroom leadership potential through hands-on mentoring and coaching. Dr. Hudson is a founding instructor with the Rutgers--CESP Alternate Route Teacher Training Program, an annual co-convener of the Alternate Route Teacher Conference, and the founding moderator for the Inspiring Teacher Leadership podcast series.
